Prairie South School Division is a mix of rural and urban communities, and transports a significant number of students to and from school each day. The Division operates and maintains its own fleet of 150 school buses. We strive to provide safe, efficient and on-time transportation for students in both the rural and urban areas.
We have two bus shops – one in Moose Jaw and one in Assiniboia. If you have any questions about busing, please contact our Moose Jaw office at 1-306-694-8750 or email transportation@prairiesouth.ca. The phone number for the Assiniboia Shop is 1-306-642-4112 ext. 1.

Parent Portal Website
Access: https://busplanner.prairiesouth.ca/ (Google Chrome works best with this program.)
Portal access is student specific. The portal will provide up-to-date information on your child’s:
We ask that parents/guardians share access to the parent portal with their child’s daycare so they can subscribe and receive notifications and also so they can utilize the “Where’s My Bus” feature.
Please check the parent portal before school starts and frequently over the first couple of weeks of school as the routes are finalized. We also recommend you check it monthly.
For information on how to access the parent portal, click here.
School Bus Cancellations
Given the geographic size of Prairie South School Division, the Board believes that enabling policy providing local discretion in dealing with weather conditions is both prudent and appropriate. Student safety is paramount and the division reserves the right to cancel routes when weather or road conditions make it unsafe to travel. Buses will be cancelled when the temperature including wind chill reaches -40 degrees C or lower. Because of the size of the division and the varying weather we experience, it is possible for routes in one area of the division to be cancelled, while service is maintained elsewhere. Our transportation parent portal ALERTS page is updated as early as possible to reflect any cancellations or delays for the day.
