On February 15th, the students in Grade 5/6 had the opportunity to participate in a program from the National Arts Center. It is called Music Alive and is meant to support and inspire musical learning in schools. The program has a teaching musician that comes to visit the school. The artist that came to Craik School was September Russell. She is a musician from Moose Jaw and she had many activities to help students learn about instruments, sounds and about the artist Antonio Vivaldi from the Baroque Period. It was a great experience for everyone who attended.

Craik School students and staff were entertained by Greg Wood of Cool Kids Care, on the afternoon of October 5th. Through the use of fun magic and illusions, students heard the message 'Cool Kids Care' an anti-bullying/respect ed presentation. An evening show was held for parents and community. The message was simple, we all have a responsibility in stopping bullying in our schools, work, and community. Together it is possible!

Curtis Weber Presentation |
|

Our school has the pleasure of listening to Curtis Weber. He was building hopper bins when the cables hit a power line and 14,400 volts went through his 17 year old body. Now at the age of 23, he will tell his story of the struggles he went through to survive and how the experiences changed his life. The public is welcome to join our grade 6 - 12 students in the school gym on April 1st at 10:00 a.m.
