Linda Froshaug Memorial Scholarships

History

Linda Froshaug taught secondary English Language Arts at Glentworth Central School, including on-line Creative Writing. Linda’s students remember a teacher who used authors like Shakespeare and Margaret Laurence, and who supported them in becoming more creative in their writing. She was a teacher who encouraged, inspired, and motivated every student to be the best person that s/he could be each and every day. Through the Linda Froshaug Memorial Scholarship, it is hoped that the recipients will also keep making each day of their lives the best that it can be. Two scholarships will be awarded each year; one to a student from former Golden Plains School Division and one to any rural Prairie South student.
