Our Mankota Mavericks had a great education week showcasing their passions, their favourite articles/books, and themselves. Mankota students had been working on an “All About Me” project, where they had to write a biography about themselves, read an article or book and write a summary about a topic they are passionate about and, finally, create a visual representation which encompasses who they are. Every student from Kindergarten to grade twelve made a display, so we plastered the hallway with all of their work. Parents and community members were invited to a come-and-go afternoon where they could read student work, talk to the students, and enjoy some goodies. We thought this project truly “celebrated each student”.
