COVID-19 Parent Letter, March 26th, 2021
March 26th, 2021
We have had a change in our situation related to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours that affects all PreK-12 students in Moose Jaw and Caronport Elementary School.
Yesterday afternoon at 3:30, we met with Public Health officials to discuss the emergence of COVID-19 Variants of Concern in Moose Jaw. Although we continue to have no confirmed school level transmission, we have had more positive cases in schools over the last 2 days than we had for the 38 days prior to that. As a result of this increase in COVID activity, all schools in Moose Jaw and Caronport Elementary School will be moving to a remote learning model beginning Monday, March 29th. School will resume in person on April 12th for all students.
We understand that this decision places a significant burden on many families who will need to rearrange schedules to accommodate children being at home. We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep students and staff safe.
Staff from your school will be in contact with you to support the transition to remote learning. Please continue to reach out to your school for the support you need for your children and family.
Please continue to follow all public health measures.
