It's official!  Prairie South Schools and the YMCA have partnered to create a daycare space within Westmount School.  This daycare will provide much-needed daycare spaces for our neighbourhood.  Construction will take place very soon and continue through the summer.  Construction will not interfere with our regular classes and will be completed before the 2013/2014 school year begins in the fall.  This daycare will include many spaces for school age students.  Please contact Jeff Fox at the YMCA for more information and/or to get on the list for a spot!

Our School Community Council election will take place on Thurssday April 25 at 6pm in the school library.  All parents and community members are welcome.  Please consider joining our talented team!

Westmount School has been participating in the Tell Them From Me survey in order to hear directly and anonymously from students and parents.  We are seeking to increase student engagement, student wellness and the school's learning climate.  We would like to invite parents and guardians to take the survey again between March 11 and 28.  A note has been sent home with the youngest child in each family.  Each note has a unique username and password that can only be used one time.  These usernames and passwords were created and assigned randomly to ensure anonymity.

To thank you for taking the time to complete the survey, we are giving away a $50 gift card for Boston Pizza to one of our families!  Simply complete the survey and then return the portion that has been sent home with your name and phone number to be entered into the draw.  We will make the draw immediately after the Easter break.
