Mankota School

On Monday, January 16 students from Kindergarten to grade 6

 travelled to Glentworth to watch a Metis dancer. Mrs. Camille Bell

preformed  a dance and also played the spoons. The students also had the

 chance to do a dance. They sat on their knees and pretended

 they were in a canoe. She did many actions that the students

 were to copy. Before we left, the woman put on some Metis

 music and the students all had the chance to play the spoons.

 It was an awesome experience for all of the students!
