Budget

The Board is responsible for a budget of over $80 million annually.

Education funding comes from two sources: government grants and property taxes. Funding changes made by the Saskatchewan government in March 2009 reduced property taxes and abolished the existing funding model.

The Ministry of Education is using a two-year transition period to consult with divisions and other stakeholders to develop a new model.
