Taking time every day to read or do a learning activity with children is crucial to a child's development. Even just 15 minutes a day can improve a child's literacy skills dramatically, and can help a parent improve their skills as well. For more information visit FamilyLiteracyDay.ca There are a variety of activities happening at Prairie South Schools, and within our communities, for Family Literacy Day. We are excited to have some of our students from Empire Community School reading stories on 800 CHAB during the week of January 23 to 27. Tune into School News at 7:50am and the Heartland at Noon to hear a different story featured each day. |
