Wednesday Oct. 23

The Entrepreneurship 30 class will be distributing pizza orders at lunch.  Orders (accepted until Friday Oct. 18) were sold in advance as a business venture for their budding Junior Achievement Company.  Look for more developments with this class and business throughout the year.

The School Community Council (SCC) and staff have initiated a positive behaviour program in our school called "Just Be Friends" which focuses students and staff on celebrating positive behaviours.  The program works towards a million acts of friendship by teaching, encouraging and tracking acts of friendship.  The program has been piloted in Kelowna and Regina and has received considerable press.  Central Butte School is the first rural school to join the program and will be kicking off the program on Wed. Oct. 23 at 2:20pm.  Parents and the community are invited to participate in the program and the kick off.  More information will be shared at the assembly in the auditorium, come join us.

Thursday Oct. 24

The SCC will be providing a Soup hot lunch for $2.  There is no need to preorder, just bring a toonie and enjoy hamburger, mushroom or chicken noodle soup.
