The Coop Service Station

The Grade 1/2 class undertook a big class project.  With the help of parent volunteers they took one morning and went on a scavenger hunt to find many of the businesses in town.  In groups they later created certain businesses in art class.  Finally they recreated downtown Bengough in their classroom so they could stroll down mainstreet to see the sights.  Some of the buildings included Bengough Drugs, Bengough Regional Library, the RCMP and Fire Station, and of course the Coop Service Station where the employees were "caught" suntanning on the roof!

What a fun project that encompassed many student learning outcomes throughout the curriculum.
